UVSC offers life experience credit, referred to as challenge credits, of up to 30 credit hours for certificates and previous training and accept transcripts from all regionally accredited colleges and universities. All transfer credits, challenge credits, previous training, and certificates must be approved by the graduation department prior to receiving credit. All coursework is completed online, eliminating the need to travel to UVSC to complete your degree. All qualifying students have access to financial aid, veteran's benefits and supplemental loans to assist with tuition, books, and flight training.

1. Make an appointment to meet with the UVSC flight advisor.

2. Apply to UVSC over the internet.

3. Pay the $30 one-time application fee upon applying for admissions or mail payment to:

4. Mail an official high school or college transcript to:

5. Complete the new student assessment testing.
For assessment testing, please call 319-337-1376 for the nearest testing site for the Compass Test. Information gained through this assessment is used to recommend appropriate course placement. The testing can be waived if the student has current ACT or SAT scores or has completed Math and English at another college wit either a C- or higher. Fax scores to the Student Assessment Center at (801) 863-7076.

6. Register for classes and buy books

7. Pay tuition
Pay tuition upon registration by submitting credit card information or mail check to the UVSC (address listed on top of page). Students must pay their tuition before the payment deadline or courses will be dropped.
